Uploads randomly fail

Hi there,

Sometimes when I upload videos to cumulus clips I get the following error
"Errors were encountered during the processing of your file, and it cannot be uploaded at this time. We apologize for this inconvenience."

And I get this error in the apache logs.

"[Tue Aug 15 09:17:40.235534 2017] [:error] [pid 32339] [client 192.168.122.1:54603] PHP Notice: Undefined variable: loggedInUser in /var/www/cumulusclips/cc-core/controllers/account/upload.php on line 9, referer:"

Any help would be much appreciated.

I'm using version 2.2.0 of cumulus clips.
Thanks.

  • You are several releases behind. Try updating to the latest version first. If the problem persists at that point, please let us know.
  • Hi there,

I've updated to 2.5.3 and users are reporting that they get an error when the video is processing. This seems to be happening with large files e.g. 600mb+ however it doesn't happen to me, I have a much faster upload speed so could the issue be a timeout issue?

    Thanks.
  • If you are able to upload files in excess of 600MB but your users cannot, then this is most likely a connection issue on their end. There is no timeout built-in the script. We currently implement a single part uploading all files, so a bad connection may cause an upload to fail, or corrupt files.

If no one could upload files then I would say there is a configuration issue somewhere, however that doesn't seem to be the case since you can upload files.
