Error message during install - unable to complete

This happens during Database Setup.

Unable to set permissions via FTP (511 on /cumulusclips/cc-core/system/bin)

Try to login via FTP using the FTP credentials you provided to the installer. Once logged in, attempt to change the file permissions of the file "/cumulusclips/cc-core/system/bin" to 0777.

Let me know if you're able to do this. If not, then there is something wrong with the credentials you provided.

Yes, I am able to do this. It is set to this, but the same error message.

Is FTP enabled in PHP? To check this, create a file called info.php and give it this content:

<?php phpinfo(); ?>

Then look for a section called "FTP"

Ok, I figured out the problem. I needed to change the ownership of all the files on the server.

All that does is circumvent the need for FTP. The problem is still there, you just won't run into it.

Anyways, at least you were able to move forward which is what's important.
