Cumulusclips and unable to connect FTP host

Version 2.5.3

When submitting the database credentials I am getting the Unable to connect to FTP Host() error. I followed your debug step from a previous post about editing line 158 and adding extra logging info. Here is the error output I get when I add those lines.

Unable to connect to FTP host ()
In: /opt/cumulusclips/cc-install/includes/FilesystemInstaller.php, on line: 32

I have not setup the FTP Connection because the installer bypasses that step since I made sure all the directories have proper ownership.

Each one of the following directories is owned by the apache user

- /opt/cumulusclips/cc-core/logs
- /opt/cumulusclips/cc-core/system
- /opt/cumulusclips/cc-content/uploads/files
- /opt/cumulusclips/cc-content/uploads/mobile
- /opt/cumulusclips/cc-content/uploads/temp
- /opt/cumulusclips/cc-content/uploads/thumbs
- /opt/cumulusclips/cc-content/uploads/avatars
- /opt/cumulusclips/cc-content/uploads/h264
- /opt/cumulusclips/cc-content/uploads/import
- /opt/cumulusclips/cc-content/uploads/theora
- /opt/cumulusclips/cc-content/uploads/webm

/opt/cumulusclips/cc-core/system/config.php contents for FTP

// FTP Credentials
define ('FTP_HOST', '');
define ('FTP_USER', '');
define ('FTP_PASS', '');
define ('FTP_PATH', '');
define ('FTP_SSL', false);

Why is it still trying to connect to FTP?

Comments

  • Try making the parent directory, where all the CumulusClips files are located, owned by Apache. That in addition to the CumulusClips files themselves. Then clear your browser cache/cookies for your domain and start the installer again.
  • Thank you very much, that fixed my problem.
  • Hola no puedo hacer que se instale aparece: Unable to perform database portion of installation. The following error occured:

    Unable to connect to FTP host ()
