qtfaststart permission 777

I am currently getting the notice from my host saying "The following files/directories had insecure permissions (777)" /cc-core/system/bin/qtfaststart.
Even if I rewrite to 755 CumulusClips rewrites back to 777.
Is this required for CumulusClips?
Currently using ver2.2.1

Comments

  • It should actually be 755 instead. I'll add it to our bug fix list. Will your host allow 755 permissions?
  • Temporarily you can overwrite it in cc-core/system/encode.php
  • Thank you, the host allows for 755.
    So I rewrite this line?
    /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
    // STEP 3 //
    // Shift Moov atom on H.264 video //
    /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

    // Debug Log
    $config->debugConversion ? App::log(CONVERSION_LOG, "\nChecking qt-faststart permissions...") : null;

    if ((string) substr(sprintf('%o', fileperms($qt_faststart_path)), -4) != '0777') {
    try {
    Filesystem::setPermissions($qt_faststart_path, 0777);
    } catch (Exception $e) {
    throw new Exception("Unable to update permissions for qt-faststart. Please make sure it ($qt_faststart_path) has 777 executeable permissions.\n\nAdditional information: " . $e->getMessage());
    }
  • Thank you
