Installing CumulusClips on OS X and FTP

I'm trying to install CumulusClips on OS X locally. The install wizard asks for the FTP settings that I want to skip. As suggested in the install instruction, I changed the files and directories 'writable' as follows:

-rwxrwxrwx@ 1 _www _www 18932 11 30 2014 LICENSE.txt
-rwxrwxrwx@ 1 _www _www 1609 11 30 2014 README.txt
drwxrwxrwx@ 38 _www _www 1292 11 27 11:46 cc-admin
drwxrwxrwx@ 8 _www _www 272 11 27 11:56 cc-content
drwxrwxrwx@ 10 _www _www 340 11 27 11:55 cc-core
drwxrwxrwx@ 17 _www _www 578 11 27 11:47 cc-install
-rwxrwxrwx@ 1 _www _www 1150 9 13 2011 favicon.ico
-rwxrwxrwx@ 1 _www _www 402 11 27 13:28 index.php

But the installer still keeps asking the FTP settings. Any suggestions?

  • The only way to skip the FTP step in the installer is if the directory containing the CumulusClips files is owned by the user Apache is running as. This is either: www-data, apache, etc.
  • Thank you, Damian. I will check the owner again.
